Chris, you have a great website on the weather information. I'm up in Central California (Montery County) and really appreciate you covering all the way up here. More windy days than not and it flat out sucks to be caught in it up here. I'm originally from San Diego and as you know, the weather is completely different up here.......can and does change at a moments notice. A whole different ocean up here and she can get pretty pissy some times
Also looked at your pictures on your site and saw that one with you and Danny Elms on the SOA. That was a pretty cool shot. I saw Danny last year on the SOA as he just came down to BS with some of the guys. Was sort of neat with Danny there and also Ted Dunn (I know you know who he is). Ted was on our trip and got out there on every stop. What a great guy!

Thanks for stopping by the website and posting in the forum! I didn't know if Danny Elms was still hanging around the boats/docks. That pic I posted of us was from 1990 I believe. Nice guy to work with. I was touching a bit on Central Coast weather toward the end of last summer's season when there was more interest on the albacore front along the Central Coast. I guess the salmon thing has guys going up there about now. Of course, the ever-present rockfishing...and the weather certainly dictates when you can or cannot make it out there. I'll try to cover some of your area when I can! I think I met Ted Dunn once. He and Frank LoPresete still own the Royal Polaris and Shogun. I worked for Joe Dunn...who was the owner of the Spirit before selling the operation to Mike Keating. Joe is in his 90s now and Mike told me he still makes it out on one trip each year. -Chris Dunn
